Thank you to everyone who came to our first Frome Ukulele Festival. We hope you had as much fun as we did. We have received lots of kind comments, so it would appear that you did.
Everything seemed to come together on the day – the weather was kind, lots of people came along and the finale in the evening was a hum dinger!
Congratulations to The Mother Pluckers who beat Weymouth Ukuleleans and Ukerjax in a spectacular Battle of the Bands Final, before In Sync, Andy Dan and Opera-lele made the Cheese and Grain really rock. The Mighty Frukes did OK too!
Thanks to the workshop tutors – Opera-lele, Tracy Hansford, Bridget Cox, Roger Southard, Sam Widdows – and to Mr Open Mic, Carl Sutterby. Lots of you commented on how much you enjoyed these.
There were 34 members of Frome Ukulele Club (plus assorted helpers) who made the day what it was – thanks to them – and to Ben for the web-site.
Finally, thank you for coming. With some 200 people during the day and another 150 joining for the evening concert, Frome Ukulele Festival was a great day.
Next year? Keep Saturday 28th March 2020 free!
